She went to a temple to visit her monk friend in 구례 as her first stop, so she left in the early morning. As for me, I left for 공주 at 11:00am as my first stop, because I saw a Korean clay oven rolls picture taken in 공주 on the Internet, and it looked good. However, I didn't find it.
This was my first trip without any detailed plan and that I spent one night alone in a strange place.
I have to say that when I got to 공주 bus terminal, and walked out, the first thought in my mind was:
"What is this shit place? Where on earth am I? I'm nowhere!!!!!"
Nowhere..yes...it was much more secluded than I expected. I couldn't believe that there was no any information center around the bus terminal. All I could find was taxies. I remembered that Ping Ting told me when they went to 공주, they took a cab to everywhere. Well, it seemed that I had no choice, because I didn't have any detailed plan and information for this place, after all.
I took a taxi and went to 공산성. The driver was a very nice 아저씨. He also gave me a map of 공주 to make me know where I was...for that I couldn't find an information center so I didn't know.
Gongsanseong Fortress(공산성,公山城) is a mountain castle which was established during the Baekje Period (234-678). This castle is about 2.5km long.
Monuments at Geumseoru Gate(금서루 입구)
I got there around 1pm and there was a show started at 1, which I didn't know, so that was sort of a big surprise.
A short video of that.
It was quite a scorching hot day. Many families came here.
Twin Tree Pavilion (쌍수정)
It was a good place for a stroll.
After this, luckily I found an information center in front of 공산성 so I asked about 공주박물관. The lady was very nice with a smile on her face always.
I planned to take a bus there, but the lady suggested me to go there by walk because the distance was only about 1 km and 15 minutes. Well, at first I heard she said by walk, I was thinking...nah not really thinking about anything because there was nothing in my head at that moment. BY WALK? With my only company--the sun, huh? OK, I'd take this as a challenge and a training in such a HOT day. At this moment, I truly thought it was good that Jana and Nikol didn't come with me, or they probably felt dead.
A junior high school.
Hot but beautiful.
The heat just made me feel time went more slowly. "It's a training!", I told myself.
It looked like a chicken and a Kappa.
"Just go take a ride", this though came into my mind for hundreds of times on the way.
When I saw this, I thought I was almost there.
But no. It was just a culture and art center. No wonder there was only me standing there.
After walking for 5 more minutes, I saw many people around there. I got to 무령왕릉(武寧王陵) first.
무령왕릉 is the ancient tumulus of King Muryeong, who ruled the Baekje Kingdom from 501 to 523, and his queen.(from Wikipedia)
The pond was so dry.

Finally got to the museum.
Bones of a rabbit.
Cat. This kind of thing is a little creepy to me.

Then I went out from the main gate to get a bus to the town. There was only one but (108) to the town in front of 공주박물관 and it runs every 30 minutes (or 1 hour? I don't remember)
It took about 15~20 minutes to the town. The driver and one lady told me to get off the bus and showed me the way to the bus terminal.
I got off the bus here and turned left into the street.
Went straight and then I found it, the same place where I just got to 공주.
